7s Hero

KTVB did a story on our healing journey tonight. It was a sweet tribute. Thought I would share for anyone who missed it.

Seven's hero

Thank you to everyone who has shown so much support and love through out the last four years, and especially through the last few weeks. It has been humbling to be lifted by so many people. I pray that everyone who has ever felt pain, including those struggles we put upon ourselves, will come to find their own path to healing. No one has to do it alone. Our journeys are our own, but there is help for all of the burdens we carry.

I  have had so many extras on my plate the last few months, but I am ready to finish journaling our journey. I look forward to getting back on here to finish what I started. I pray that my words will be taken for what they are intended . . . the healing and forgiving journey of my family. I pray that those who have felt offended by anything written on this blog, will go back and reread the stories I have vulnerably shared to see them as a source of healing . . . and not an opportunity to dismiss anyone else's struggle.

This story is about heartache, our heartache . . . but even more importantly, our hope. Hope in our broken path, hope in the future, but mainly hope that the grace of Christ will cover even our pain. There is not one who has ever walked the earth who will be denied that opportunity. Even those we see as an opposition are loved by our Heavenly Father.

Let us never forget that we are all sons and daughters of God.

Ashlee, you are an amazing person! I admire the strength it takes to share your story. I saw you on Dr. Phil and now have read your book. You showed such dignity and grace. Thank you for sharing the lessons you have learned. I wish you and your family the best!

Thank you for sharing your story with us Ashlee, it took courage to do so. Dealing with a husband's infidelity is hard enough but having it result in your husband's murder, then having to go through a trial and somehow try to keep some normalcy in your children's lives is quite a feat, and you've done it all so beautifully.

You took an ugly situation and turned it into a message of hope, resilience and faith. Anyone who doesn't learn something good and positive through your writing and speaking is missing out. All the best to you and your family beautiful girl xoxoxo
